Lucas Thorpe - After the death of my father →
Rachel Hulin posted some very good photographs by Lucas Thorpe over at The Photography Post. There’s plenty more to discover on his portfolio site. I especially liked the images in After the death of my father. Parts of his work also has a strong connection to the sea that I can relate to.

Peter Brown, and Robert Adams again
Check out Peter Brown’s new web site, which features some excellent work from the great plains. I especially like the series On the Plains. Peter Brown is not just a photographer though. There are some interesting articles in the Writing section, among them an interview with Robert Adams (PDF) from 2006 and an appreciation of Robert Adams (PDF) from 1996.

Tod Papageorge on Robert Adams - The Missing... →
I really enjoyed this 2009 article (better late than never) on Robert Adams’ work over at American Suburb X. It gives some fascinating insights into the process of one of my favourite photographers. It also made me realise that I need to get myself a copy of What We Bought.

WatchWatch
91 days, by Stephen Voss: “For the entire season of Spring, from March 20, 2010 to June 20, 2010, I will be making one photo each day in my backyard using a 4x5 camera and Fuji instant film, 91 days total. The video above shows the process.” Check out 91-days.org and contact Stephen if you are interested in receiving a print. He is giving them away.

Nova Gallery featured a few of my street portraits →
I just noticed that Nova Gallery featured a few of my street portraits last week in their Pick of the Day category. I haven’t been doing any portraits like that for a while now. Maybe time to pick up where I left off. By the way, I have no problem with people featuring my work in this way, quite the opposite, but it would be great to get a quick note to let me know about it.
